Three Dragon Alley  Sound Journey

📍 Museum of Modern Renaissance — 115 College Ave, Somerville
🗓️ Friday, March 27th | 7:00–9:00 PM (Doors open 6:45 PM Doors are locked at 7:10 to avoid disruption)

Bring:

  • yoga mat

  • comfortable blanket and pillow

  • Optional: eye mask, journal, or crystals

Step into Three Dragon Alley, where ancient breath carves a living landscape of sound. This performance troupe conjures immersive, evolving ambient journeys that pulse with far more vitality than a traditional sound bath.

At the heart of the experience is Mitch Rosenberg, summoning earth-deep frequencies through the didgeridoo, and John McKusick, weaving harmonium, sitar, and a magic bag of sonic textures into a luminous, shifting tapestry. Together, they create a passageway—part ritual, part dreamscape, part ecstatic meditation.

The sound unfolds like a traveling world: tones rising, folding, dissolving, and reforming as the energy builds. Expect grounding rhythms, soaring overtones, and a sense of movement that carries the listener through inner terrain both mysterious and triumphant.

Three Dragon Alley isn’t just heard—
it’s entered. It’s felt.
It’s a journey that transforms the space around you, and the space within.

This event is likely to sell out. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

"Eve of Floralia"

https://tinyurl.com/eveoffloralia

Featuring Winds of Alluria, Three Dragon Alley, & Be Not Afraid performing at the Common St Spiritual Center. Natick, MA Sun 4/26 6-9PM.

Eve of Floralia marks the threshold before the ancient Roman festival of Floralia, a rite of renewal dedicated to Flora—goddess of blossoms, fertility, wild growth, and the untamed intelligence of the living world. It is not a polite celebration of spring, but a liminal moment when boundaries soften: between winter and bloom, order and excess, human intention and vegetal will.

To honor this eve, we gather through sound.

Electronic ritual, neofolk incantation, animist resonance, world instruments, and dark ambient textures form an offering suited to a night that belongs neither fully to civilization nor to wilderness. These musics speak in pulses, drones, breath, wood, wire, and electricity—languages older than doctrine, newer than tradition, and aligned with cycles rather than calendars.

This is music for roots pushing through stone, for flowers that bloom at night, for spirits that do not ask permission. Eve of Floralia is not a reenactment—it is an invocation. A listening rite. A sonic garland laid at the feet of spring as it crosses the threshold into abundance.

$25 donation.

This is a seated event. No alcohol served at this event. Feel free to bring water bottles and snacks. Please arrive 10 minutes before the event.

Three Dragon Alley Sound Journey @Groton Grange

The Three Dragon Alley Sound Journey expands upon the concept of the traditional sound bath, elevating it into a fully immersive, high-energy sensory experience.

Audiences can expect a rich mélange of influences, including 1960s psychedelic rock, Hindustani classical music, sound therapy, jazz fusion, Indonesian gamelan, throat singing, chanting, and more. The current instrumental array includes didgeridoos, harmonium, Javanese bonang, gongs, handpans, Indian slide guitar, and an assortment of bells and whistles.

Visually, the performance is accompanied by a dynamic projection light show incorporating liquid light effects, audio-responsive VJ programs, shadow puppetry, and visionary art—designed to engage and bewilder the senses. Sonically, the music forms a massive, powerful, and emotionally evocative tapestry, shifting organically as the mood unfolds.
